I was born and raised in Olympia, WA. Sometimes I resented working on the family farm while my friends were out playing, but I realize that this is where my work ethic was established. What was drudgery then, became the things I most value doing now. I was often on the tractor, working the gardens, canning and freezing, cutting firewood, taking care of the horses, pigs, and cows. When the work was finished I would escape into the woods on my motorcycle. At the age of 12 I got a job in a hunting and fishing store, trading work for guns and equipment. We hunted and always had a freezer full of elk and venison. Vactions were at the off-the-grid family cabin on Puntzi Lake in B.C. fishing for kokanee, swimming, and exploring. This gave me my first taste of off-the-grid living and a good skill set which I later applied when I first moved to the Umpqua Valley region almost twenty years ago to live alone in the mountains, off the grid. I love the outdoors and I truly enjoy selling real estate. It's something I've been around most of my life. My stepdad has been one of the top selling agents in Olympia for the last 40 years. The template for who I am as a broker was set by watching the way he worked: with patience, meticulousness, and honesty. He never tried to sell anyone anything - he just helped them find what they were looking for. As a broker I have sold residential and commercial properties, but rural, recreational, and ranch properties are my passion projects. I value the uniqueness of each property and enjoy finding the best way to present each listing, and relish finding creative solutions to the variety of issues and quandaries which may present themselves to buyers and sellers during a real estate transaction.
